We collect the information needed to run StayFocus and the information you choose to add while using it.

• Account data: email address, public alias, authentication provider identifiers, login tokens, locale, timezone, and account status.
• Profile data: avatar, bio, public profile settings, map visibility settings, and other profile details you choose to provide.
• Productivity data: projects, focus sessions, session reflections, brain dump items, experiments, experiment check-ins, updates, streaks, stats, and preferences.
• Public visibility data: public profile content, public projects, public updates, active-session status, and approximate map presence when enabled.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, logs, security events, error reports, and approximate location derived from your connection where map features require it.
• Billing data: plan, subscription status, customer or subscription identifiers, checkout status, and invoices or billing metadata received from our payment provider. We do not collect or store full card numbers or bank details.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data to provide and improve the Service, not to sell it.

• Operate focus sessions, projects, experiments, reflections, brain dump, stats, streaks, and the live map.
• Keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure your account, and prevent abuse.
• Process subscriptions, billing status, trial access, and plan changes.
• Send essential account, authentication, support, billing, and product notices.
• Debug errors, maintain reliability, understand feature usage, and improve the product.

Public Features and Approximate Location

StayFocus includes public accountability features. If you choose public visibility, other people may see your alias, public profile, public projects, public updates, active focus status, and approximate map location. We use approximate location for map presence; we do not ask for precise GPS location for this feature.

• Public mode can show your approximate area and current focus presence.
• Ghost mode can show activity with reduced identifying details.
• Invisible mode removes you from the live map.
• You can change visibility settings in your account settings.

AI Integrations

If you connect StayFocus to an AI assistant or use an AI workflow, the data required to complete your request may be sent to the AI provider or client you choose. For example, an assistant may receive the relevant session, project, brain dump, note, or experiment data needed to perform the action you requested.

Your data remains yours. We do not sell it or use it for unrelated commercial purposes. AI providers and AI clients may process data according to their own privacy policies, so review those policies before connecting them. We secure the integration channels we control and scope access to your own account data.

Payments Through Lemon Squeezy

All payments are handled through Lemon Squeezy or its payment infrastructure. StayFocus does not view, store, or keep credit card numbers, bank details, CVV codes, or sensitive payment credentials. We receive only the payment and subscription information needed to activate your plan, keep billing status accurate, handle access, and support account questions.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only when needed to operate the Service, when you choose to make something public, or when required for security or legal reasons.

• Service providers: hosting, database, email, authentication, analytics, error monitoring, billing, payment, and infrastructure providers.
• AI providers or clients: only when you connect or use AI features that require sending data to complete your request.
• Other users or the public: only for content and presence you choose to make public.
• Authorities or affected parties: when required by law, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of StayFocus, users, or the public.

Data Retention and Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account from account settings. The app currently schedules permanent deletion after a 30-day grace period so accidental deletion can be restored by signing in before the deadline. After the grace period, we delete or anonymize your account and stored app data from active systems, except for limited records we must keep for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, billing, dispute, or security reasons.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, protect forms, remember preferences, support billing flows, and make the app work. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Security

We use practical security measures such as encrypted connections, access controls, secure token handling, and limited data access. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so please use a secure email account and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

International Processing

StayFocus is available globally, so your data may be processed in countries other than where you live by us or by service providers. We aim to use providers and practices that protect data consistently with this policy.
